startup founders, indie hackers, engineers, product designers, researchers, students, and high-agency builders who have shipped real things should apply.

do students qualify?

yes. students can apply if they have evidence of taste, shipping ability, and serious intent.

do i need funding?

no. funding is not required. the selection bar is based on seriousness, output, and fit for the environment.

is the residency free?

No. Invention NoveltyHQ is a paid program. Builders cover tuition that funds the cohort experience—we do not market it as a free coliving stunt.

how much does it cost?

Invention NoveltyHQ is a paid founder residency—not a grant, subsidy, or free stay. Tuition contributes to accommodation, workspaces, connectivity, the communal meals rhythm, and operating the 30-day cohort. Exact tuition, taxes if applicable, payment schedule, refunds, and inclusions/exclusions are shared with applicants after review.
